Norman H. Edelman, M.D., is Professor of Medicine and Dean at SUNY-Stony Brook School of Medicine. He is also Chief Medical Officer for the American Lung Association. Dr. Edelman has published extensively in the field of pulmonary diseases and control of breathing. In 1990, he was named recipient of a MERIT award for the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Edelman has appeared on a number of national news programs, including Good Morning America, CBS Evening News, Dateline NBC and MSNBC. Several major newspapers and wire services, such as USA Today, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Reuters and the Associated Press, have interviewed him.
